HC Deb 13 February 1933 vol 274 cc618-9
46. Mr. CHARLES BROWN

asked the Prime Minister whether it is proposed to review the question of Ministerial salaries; and, if so, when?

The PRIME MINISTER

This question has not been considered.

Mr. BROWN

After further consultation with the Secretary of State for the Dominions, will the right hon. Gentleman at once take steps, judging by results, to dispense with the services of Ministers who are not worth their salaries?

The PRIME MINISTER

I think my right hon. Friend's statement made no reflection on Ministers at all.

Mr. CHARLES WILLIAMS

Was not the right hon. Gentleman referring to his colleagues in the late Government?
