§ 32. Mr. G. MACDONALDasked the Secretary for Mines if he will state the number of accidents that have occurred at the coal face in Great Britain during 1933 and during each of the previous four years, giving separate figures for Lancishire and Cheshire?
§ Mr. E. BROWNI regret that the figures asked for are not available. I can give the numbers of fatal and nonfatal accidents due to falls of ground only at the working face during the years 1929, 1930, 1931 and 1932 for Great Britain and Lancashire respectively, and with the hon. Member's permission I will circulate the figures in the OFFICIAL REPORT. I regret that corresponding figures for 1933 are not yet available.
