HC Deb 06 December 1933 vol 283 c1477
32. Mr. DORAN

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office on what grounds Mrs. E. Cloete Capron was refused permission to appear before the Tank Inquiry Commission; and if her claim may now be re-considered?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the WAR OFFICE (Mr. Duff Cooper)

The Royal Commission on Awards to Inventors is a body independent of my Department: but I understand that the claim advanced by Mrs. Capron was duly considered by its Investigating Committee who saw her in person, and that the claimant has from time to time been informed by the commission that no claim can be reconsidered except on the production of new and relevant evidence.
