The average wholesale prices of home-grown potatoes on which the Ministry's annual index figure for England and Wales is based were in the five years 1928 to 1932 135s., 92s. 6d., 76s., 148s. 6d., and 155s. per ton, respectively. Information as to the monthly and yearly average wholesale prices of the principal home-grown varieties and of imported potatoes is given annually in Part II of the Agricultural Statistics.
