HC Deb 04 December 1933 vol 283 c1293
36. Mr. GRAHAM WHITE

asked the Minister of Labour if any investigations have been made as to the effects on the distributive trades and/or the cotton trade which would follow if the school-leaving age were raised to 15 and part-time education arranged up to the age of 18?

Mr. HUDSON

So far as I am aware the answer is in the negative.

Sir W. BRASS

Is my hon. Friend aware that there is no real demand in Lancashire for the raising of the school age?
