HC Deb 04 December 1933 vol 283 c1282
6. Mr. DAVID GRENFELL

asked the Secretary of State for India if it is now the intention of the Government of India to appoint a permanent representative or secretariat for India to the League of Nations at Geneva?

Mr. BUTLER

Four years ago the Government of India expressed the opinion that for the present there would be no advantage in having a permanent representative at Geneva. I have not since heard from them on the subject.
