HC Deb 04 December 1933 vol 283 c1279

asked the Secretary of State for India, the composition of the five Indian boards of film censors; and whether the film entitled The Private Life of Henry VIII has been censored or released by any or all of these boards?

The SECRETARY of STATE for INDIA (Sir Samuel Hoare)

As regards the first part of the question I would refer my hon. Friend to Chapter VII of the report of the Indian Cinematograph Committee, in which the composition and working of the Boards of Censors are described. A copy of the report has been placed in the Library. As regards the second part I have no information but am making inquiries.
