HC Deb 26 April 1933 vol 277 c99

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air if he can now make any further statement as to the progress which has been made in the negotiations preceding the establishment of a regular British commercial air service to and from Australia; and by what date it is anticipated that such a service will commence operations?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for AIR (Sir Philip Sassoon)

The negotiations are proceeding satisfactorily, but I am not yet able to anticipate with any definiteness the date of the opening of the service.
