HC Deb 13 April 1933 vol 276 c2721
12. Mr. MANDER

asked the Minister of Health if he has received any reports recently of injuries to health as a result of the use of enamelled vessels containing antimony, lead and other poisonous ingredients; and what action he is taking to warn the public of the dangers likely to arise?

Mr. SHAKESPEARE

Two recent outbreaks of illness said to have been caused by antimony in enamelled vessels have been brought to my right hon. Friend's notice since the issue of the departmental memorandum on antimony poisoning last month. As soon as he receives the report of the technical officer of the Department who is now investigating this question my right hon. Friend proposes to consider whether any further legislative or other measures are required.
