HC Deb 10 April 1933 vol 276 c2158
26. Sir GIFFORD FOX

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will give a list of cases in which default has occurred by the Soviet Government on any of its contractual engagements to British nationals in the last five years?

Lieut.-Colonel, J. COLVILLE (Secretary, Overseas Trade Department)

I have been asked to reply. The only case of a failure on the part of the Soviet Government to meet its contractual obligations to British nationals during the last five years that has been brought to my notice, is that of the Lena Goldfields.
