HC Deb 03 April 1933 vol 276 c1427
55. Viscount CRANBORNE

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, without anticipating his Budget statement, he can give any indication of the intentions of the Government with regard to the repeal of the land value duties?

My right hon. Friend regrets that he cannot add to the answers given to previous questions on this matter.

Will the Financial Secretary take into account the fact that there is very strong feeling on this subject in this House, and that the vast majority of the Members consider that the present situation is wholly unjustifiable?

Does the Financial Secretary not think that he ought to consider the very strong feeling that also exists outside, in the country?
