§ Major ELLIOTI am aware of the large importations of cider apples. The national mark is applied to cider made from fruit grown in England and Wales only. To ensure that no foreign fruit or imported cider or concentrated fruit juices are used in national mark cider, authorised cider makers are required to 315 keep records of all such purchases and these records are inspected by officers of my Department.
