HC Deb 30 November 1932 vol 272 c803
22. Mr. McENTEE

asked the Minister of Transport if he can now make any further statement on the proposal to rebuild Waterloo Bridge?

Mr. PYBUS

A deputation was received on the 25th November by the Lord President of the Council from representatives of the London County Council, when they were informed that the various points raised by them would receive the early consideration of the Government. I am not in a position at present to add to that reply.

Mr. McENTEE

Can the hon. Gentleman say whether the Government are making a financial contribution, and, if so, what proportion will it bear to the cost of the bridge?

Mr. PYBUS

I said that a deputation has been received by the Lord President of the Council, and I am not in a position to give any further information at this stage.
