HC Deb 30 November 1932 vol 272 cc805-6
26. Mr. GRUNDY (for Mr. PRICE)

asked the Postmaster-General the number of automatic stamp machines in use in Great Britain; and if there are any districts of over 20,000 popu- lation that have not the facilities afforded by these machines??

Sir E. BENNETT

Machines have been installed on about 5,000 sites, mostly at Post Offices. I think it is unlikely that many districts with as many as 20,000 inhabitants are without machines, but if the hon. Member has any particular district in mind, I will make inquiry.
