§ 49. Mr. BATEY (for Mr. THORNE)asked the Home Secretary whether he will make representations to the omnibus companies in London with a view to the provision of fare boards on the top deck of covered motor vehicles?
§ Sir J. GILMOURIt has never been the practice for fare boards to be displayed on the upper deck of covered top, omnibuses, and I have no evidence of any general public demand that they should be so displayed. I understand that one the omnibuses to be introduced next year, the fare table will be displayed near the staircase, where it will be available to passengers proceeding to either deck.
