HC Deb 10 November 1932 vol 270 cc499-500
51. Sir FRANK SANDERSON

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether in view of the fact that many cases are brought before local pensions committees of persons of British nationality who have resided in Great Britain for the greater part of their lives, but who, during a part of the period of 12 years since attaining the age of 50, have resided in the Dominions and subsequently returned to this country and thus rendered themselves ineligible for receipt of the old age pension, he will consider so amending the Old Age Pensions Act as to eliminate this hardship?

Mr. HORE-BELISHA

May I refer my hon. Friend to the answer which I gave him on the 27th October.
