HC Deb 03 November 1932 vol 269 c1955
18. Mr. RHYS DAVIES

asked the Home Secretary the number of street accidents in London during the last 12 months in which children under five years of age were involved; and whether it will be possible to obtain similar information with respect to street accidents over the whole country?

Sir J. GILMOUR

There were 51 fatalities in street accidents among children under five in the Metropolitan Police District and City of London during the year ended 30th September last. I regret that figures for non-fatal accidents to children under five, and for fatal or non-fatal accidents to such children for the country as a whole, could not be obtained without incurring considerable expense.
