Captain ERSKINE-BOLSTasked the Minister of Labour whether in view of the difficulties involved both in Great Britain and Germany by his recent decision with regard to the entry of the German Circus Gleich to this country, he will consider arranging for an early consultation with representatives of the entertainment industry in this country with a view to enunciating principles on which future action will be based?
§ The MINISTER of LABOUR (Sir Henry Betterton)It is the practice of the Department to consult the various organisations representing employers and employés in this industry. The general policy of the Department is, I think, 1000 sufficiently known to these organisations and a special discussion hardly seems to be necessary.
