HC Deb 23 May 1932 vol 266 c11
22. Captain P. MACDONALD

asked the Postmaster-General whether he has any information to show what proportion of air-mail traffic to Singapore during 1931 was carried by British and Dutch aeroplanes, respectively?

Sir K. WOOD

I have not the exact figures immediately available, but the great bulk of the air-mail traffic referred to is carried by the Dutch service, as the only material advantage offered by the Imperial Airways service to Karachi is a later posting in London of about one day as compared with the ordinary mail.
