Mr. CHAMBERLAINThese payments are not specially recorded, but it is estimated that the Estate Duty paid in respect of agricultural land for the years 1929, 1930 and 1931 amounted to £2,900,000, £2,100,000 and £1,700,000 respectively, and that the annual receipt 2075 of Succession Duty in respect of agricultural land is in the neighbourhood of £260,000. As regards the year 1913, it is estimated that the Estate and Succession Duties amounted to about £1,250,000.
