asked the First Lord of the Admiralty how many ships in the Home Fleet use oil fuel and how many use coal; and what is the reduction in the time spent at sea as the result of fuel economy?

Fifty ships in the Home Fleet use oil fuel and 18 use coal. The effect of the reduced fuel allowance of the Home Fleet is estimated to be a reduction of six days per annum in the time spent at sea.
