§ 52. Mr. DENMANasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether in the interests of economy, arrangements have been made to enable Members to obtain third-class Pullman instead of first-class ordinary tickets between London and their constituencies?
§ Major ELLIOTYes, Sir. Arrangements have now been made for the issue of third-class tickets with third-class Pullman accommodation, where available, in exchange for Members' warrants, when the total cost does not exceed the first-class ordinary fare, or the first-class tourist fare where this is in operation. I would call the attention of Members 959 to the fact that, as in the case of third-class sleeping accommodation, a separate warrant for the Pullman car accommodation should be presented and endorsed "Pullman Car Supplement Only."
§ Major COLFOXCan the right hon. Gentleman say whether any, and, if so, how many, Members use their warrants to travel third class?
§ Mr. SPEAKERThat question does not arise out of the answer.
