HC Deb 24 March 1932 vol 263 cc1188-9
34. Mr. HOLDSWORTH

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware of the difficulties affecting the importation of British goods into Denmark through the withholding of import permits and refusal to liberate the available British currency on the part of the national bank in Copenhagen; and whether he will make representations to secure that no check is placed on the importation of British goods into that country through these causes?

Mr. JOHN COLVILLE (Secretary, Overseas Trade Department)

My information is that little difficulty is being experienced in this matter by British interests. Should, however, my hon. Friend have any specific case in mind perhaps he would let me have particulars of it.
