HC Deb 23 March 1932 vol 263 c1033
40. Mr. CHALMERS

asked the Attorney-General if any steps are being taken to cheapen litigation, particularly in the County Courts, either on the lines of the recent report of the London Chamber of Commerce or in any other way?

The ATTORNEY-GENERAL (Sir Thomas Inskip)

The report to which the hon. Member refers made no recommendation for cheapening litigation in the County Court, but the Supreme Court Rule Committee are taking steps to provide for simplified procedure in the High Court on the lines recommended by the report.
