HC Deb 21 March 1932 vol 263 cc699-700
62. Mr. LOGAN

(for Mr. THORNE) asked the President of the Board of Trade at what intervals his Department inspectors inspect the pumps at petrol-filling stations to correct the amounts of automatic supplies?

Mr. HORE-BELISHA

Under the Board of Trade Regulations, it is the duty of local authorities to arrange that petrol pumps shall be inspected and tested at least once a year and also to arrange for special surprise visits to be made from time to time.
