asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what is the approximate number of destitute British persons in Russia at the present time; and whether any official action is being taken to assist in their relief?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Mr. Eden)

There are about 120 destitute British subjects in Russia. Relief, to which His Majesty's Government contribute, is administered by the British subjects in Russia Relief Association, and by His Majesty's consular officers.
