asked the hon. Member for Rye, as representing the Forestry Commissioners, whether he anticipates that the Forestry Commission will be able to continue next season grants for private planting at the same rates as last season; and, if not, how great a reduction is likely to be made?

It is anticipated that afforestation grants next season will be at the same rates as the current season.
