Lord STANLEYHis Majesty's Ships "Nelson" and "Rodney" were laid down on 28th December, 1922, "Nelson" being completed on 17th October, 1927, and "Rodney" on 17th December, 1927. The total cost, including cost of first outfit and reserves of guns, ammunition and torpedoes, was: "Nelson," £7,504,055; "Rodney," £7,617,799. The annual cost of maintenance in full commission of His Majesty's Ship "Nelson," i.e., as a flagship, is £362,250, and of His Majesty's Ship "Rodney" £319,000, inclusive of non-effective liability.
