HC Deb 03 March 1932 vol 262 c1276
81. Sir COOPER RAWSON

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office if he will state, owing to the closing of the War Office clothing factory at Pimlico, how many ex-service men, War widows and dependants will be thereby unemployed?

Mr. COOPER

Although preference for employment at the Royal Army Clothing Factory, Pimlico, has been given to candidates with Service connections, this qualification has not been a condition of their employment, and therefore no statistics are available which would enable me to give the information desired.
