Mr. GROVES(for Mr. THORNE) asked the Minister of Labour the number of firms regularly notifying Employment Exchanges of vacancies existing for boys of 14 years of age to take the place of those employés who have attained the age of 18 years and thus come within the scope of unemployment insurance; and if he can state what reasons are given for the discharge of such employés?
§ Sir H. BETTERTONI have no statistics on this point. It is not the practice of employers to give the reason for the discharge of a former employé when they notify a vacancy.
