HC Deb 30 June 1932 vol 267 cc2015-6
64. Lord SCONE

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland the names of those responsible for drawing up the Scottish educational curriculum and how often they meet to consider whether that curriculum is in need of alteration?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for SCOTLAND (Mr. Skelton)

The general instructions as to the curriculum which are contained in the Codes and Circulars issued from time to time as occasion requires, are based upon recommendations from the official advisers of the Department. The Secretary of State for Scotland in his capacity as Vice-President of the Committee of Council on Education in Scotland is responsible for these instructions. The second part of the question does not, therefore, arise.
