13. Sir KENYON VAUGHAN MORGANasked the Home Secretary whether he is aware that apprehension has been caused among taximeter-cab owners and others in consequence of revised regulations issued by the police authorities in the Metropolis and elsewhere; and whether he can give an assurance that such revised regulations will be applied in such a way as not to interfere with the procuring of the necessary evidence in cases of accident?
Mr. STANLEYI presume my hon. Friend is referring to the procedure now being followed in dealing with applications from interested parties for information in connection with road accident cases. I have no reason to suppose that information in regard to such cases will not be made available by chief officers of police to taxi-cab owners and others, so far as this can properly be done.
