HC Deb 23 June 1932 vol 267 cc1259-60
63. Major MILNER

asked the Secretary of State for India whether any decision has been arrived at by the Government of India in the matter of the appointment of non-official advisers to accompany the Indian delegation to the Ottawa Conference?

The SECRETARY of STATE for INDIA (Sir Samuel Hoare)

I have not heard whether any commercial or industrial associations are accepting the invitation to send representatives to which I referred in my reply to the hon. Member for Westhoughton (Mr. Rhys Davies) on 30th May. The Government of India have appointed three expert advisers, who are all official experts, and so far as I am aware they do not propose to appoint any others.
