HC Deb 22 June 1932 vol 267 c1091
48. Mr. PRICE

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department the number of motorists that have been prosecuted for dangerous driving since the abolition of the speed limit, and the number of convictions'?

The UNDERSECRETARY of STATE for the HOME DEPARTMENT (Mr. Oliver Stanley)

Such figures as are available (which relate to the year 1931) will be included in the return of offences relating to motor vehicles, which is now in preparation. The figures will not, however, distinguish the different types of vehicles in respect of which proceedings were taken and, as the hon. Member is aware, the speed limit has not been abolished for all types of motor vehicles.
