HC Deb 21 June 1932 vol 267 cc915-6
44. Mr. DINGLE FOOT

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he has any information as to the conditions prevailing among the employés dismissed from the rubber plantations in Malaya?

The SECRETARY of STATE for the COLONIES (Sir Philip Cunliffe-Lister)

I understand that many of the European employés have returned to this country and that a number of those who have remained in Malaya are still in a volunteer training camp at Port Dickson, which was started in 1930. The South Indian employés have been repatriated to India.
