EYRES MONSELLThe Admiralty do not contemplate the use of pulverised coal for the ships of the Navy, owing to the disadvantages inseparable from the employment of coal as a fuel for warships, namely reduced endurance for a given weight of fuel and increased weight and space required for a given power.
