§ The ASSISTANT POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Graham White)There are in all 3,582 rural telephone exchanges. Of this number 740 are of the automatic type, and 2,734 have less than 50 subscribers. The figures for Scotland are 606, 121 and 556, respectively.
