HC Deb 29 July 1932 vol 267 cc1792-3
22. Captain P. MACDONALD

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air whether he will consider introducing legislation to prevent the erection in the neighbourhood of aerodromes of buildings or other obstructions likely to prove detrimental to the safety of machines using such aerodromes?

Sir P. SASSOON

The subject is one which has been engaging the close attention of the Air Ministry. Local authorities will have some powers of this kind for aerodromes in planning schemes under the Town and Country Planning Bill, but my Noble Friend cannot undertake to promote other special legislation for the purpose at present.
