HC Deb 29 July 1932 vol 267 cc1793-4
36. Lord APSLEY

asked the Postmaster-General what was the expenditure allocated by his Department in 1931 to exhibiting advertisements of British air mail services in post offices; and whether, in view of the profit obtained from these services, he will consider increasing such advertising at an early date?

The POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Sir Kingsley Wood)

No expenditure was incurred in 1931 by the Post Office in exhibiting advertisements in Post Office buildings of British air mail services, though publicity was afforded in other directions, but arrangements have been made recently to exhibit at a number of the largest post offices maps showing the air mail services available to the public in this country.
