Mr. HARMSWORTHThe Japanese Government has stated officially that Japanese troops will be withdrawn from Northern Saghalien as soon as a satisfactory settlement of the Nicolaievsk massacre can be obtained.

RICHARDSONasked the Prime Minister whether His Majesty's Government has received official information that the Japanese Government has decided to withdraw its troops from the mainland of Siberia, opposite the island of Saghalien, by the 30th September; and does the decision include evacuation of the whole of the maritime province by 30th September?
