Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHYasked the Prime Minister whether the Council of the League of Nations is meeting in London this week; where the meetings are being held; who are the British delegates; whether he himself intends to assist at any of the sessions of the Council; and what are the subjects to be discussed?
The PRIME MINISTER (Mr. Lloyd George)The Council of the League of 2263 Nations is in session at St. James's Palace. My Noble Friend the Lord President of the Council and my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Education are acting as the British delegates. The answer to the fourth part of the question is in the negative A copy of the agenda can be seen in the Library of the House.
Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHYMay I ask why only one copy of the agenda is placed in the Library, and hon. Members are not allowed to take it away? Why is it it cannot be published? The present arrangement is very inconvenient.
Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHYWhy is there all this secrecy about the meetings of the Council of the League of Nations?
§ The PRIME MINISTERI am not aware that there is any secrecy
