Resolved, That the draft of a Special Order proposed to be made by the Board of Trade under the Gas Undertakings Acts, 1920 and 1929, on the application of the Worksop Gas Company, which was presented on the 30th day of June and published, be approved.

Resolved, That the draft of a Special Order proposed to be made by the Board of Trade under the Gas Undertakings Acts, 1920 and 1929, on the application of the Cambridge University and Town Gaslight Company, which was presented on the 24th day of June and published, be approved.

Resolved, That the draft of a Special Order proposed to be made by the Board of Trade under the Gas Undertakings Acts, 1920 and 1929, on the application of the Oxford and District Gas Company, which was presented on the 23rd day of June and published, be approved."—[Mr. Hore-Belisha.]

Will the hon. Gentleman kindly inform us what is involved in the making of this Order in regard to Sheffield?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the BOARD of TRADE (Mr. Hore-Belisha)

This Order authorises the transfer to the Sheffield gas undertaking of the Elsecar, Wentworth and Hoyland gas undertakings. No Government grant is involved.

Question put, and agreed to.

Resolved, That the draft of a Special Order proposed to be made by the Board of Trade under the Gas Undertakings Acts, 1920 and 1929, on the application of the Sheffield Gas Company, which was presented on the 24th day of June and published, be approved.

Resolved, That the draft of a Special Order proposed to be made by the Board of Trade under the Gas Undertakings Acts, 1920 and 1929, on the application of the Yeovil Corporation, which was presented on the 21st day of June and published, he approved.

Resolved, That the draft of a Special Order proposed to be made by the Board of Trade under the Gas Undertakings Acts, 1920 and 1929, on the application of the Newbury Corporation, which was presented on the 20th day of June and published, be approved."—[Mr. Hore-Belisha.]
