§ Mr. ISAAC FOOTAs was stated by my right hon. Friend the Lord President of the Council on the 23rd September last in reply to a question by the former Member for Pontefract (Mr. T. Smith), the Government decided to continue with the scheme which had been adopted by the previous Government for research into low-temperature carbonisation and hydrogenation, but in a somewhat modified form. The plant then decided upon is still in course of erection.
