§ Mr. COLVILLEI understand that a measure was passed by the Norwegian Parliament on 28th June empowering the Government to increase or impose duties during the Parliamentary recess. The measure does not of itself increase or impose duties.
§ Mr. HANNONIs there any discrimination against British exports implied in this new law?
§ Mr. COLVILLENo, Sir. The Norwegian Government has taken powers to impose duties on imports from any 28 country, but the Act itself does not impose duties, and we have now powers to deal with any discrimination should it arise.
