53. Mr. MORGAN JONES

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is aware that, in connection with the murder of a man living on a farm at Arusha, Tanganyika, a person was arrested on 5th March but was not tried at Arusha until 3rd September; that two other alleged murderers were tried by the same court who had been kept awaiting trial for seven and eight months, respectively; and whether he proposes to take stem to expedite the hearing of such cases?
