§ Mr. ORMSBY-GORENew electric light fittings were installed in the libraries during the Christmas Recess, 1930. A recent test indicates that, throughout the greater part of the rooms in question, the intensity of the lighting exceeds the standard normally required for reading purposes. The lighting adjacent to the fireplaces in A and B libraries is, however, somewhat below the standard, and I am therefore arranging for more powerful lights to be placed in the centre fittings of these rooms.
