asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he can now inform the House as to the result of the negotiations with other countries for the establishment of a fixed date for Easter, in accordance with the terms of the Easter Act, 1928?

The present position of international discussion of this question is as follows:

In October, 1931, the Fourth General Conference on Communications and Transit adopted an Act declaring: —

At its meeting last January the Council decided to bring the Act to the notice of the religious bodies as desired by the Conference.

If my hon. Friend desires, I will cause a copy of the Act to be placed in the Library of the House.
