HC Deb 11 February 1932 vol 261 cc1019-20
46. Mr. T. WILLIAMS

asked the Prime Minister whether it is proposed to abolish the recent reduction in the salaries of judges; whether the reductions which have been imposed are to be made good; and on what date the original salaries will he restored?

Mr. BALDWIN

I am not yet in a position to add anything to the reply which I gave the hon. Member last Monday.

Mr. WILLIAMS

Can the right hon. Gentleman give any idea when he will be able to reply to this question?

Mr. BALDWIN

I said on Monday that I would give a reply in a few days. I think hon. Members ought not to draw too narrow an inference as to the meaning of those words.
