DAVISONasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that in many foreign ports British liners are forbidden to land passengers in the launches or boats carried on board, and are compelled at heavy expense to engage launches or tugs 642 at the foreign ports in order to land their passengers; and whether representations will be made to the foreign governments in question that the same facilities in this respect should be granted to British ships in their ports as are granted to foreign ships in British ports?
