Resolution reported. That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session providing (among other matters) for giving effect to an International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, signed in London on the 31st day of May, nineteen hundred and twenty-nine, it is expedient to authorize the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of any sums required for the contribution from the United Kingdom towards maintaining, in accordance with articles thirty-six and thirty-seven of the said Convention, a ser- vice in the North Atlantic for the destruction and removal of derelicts, for the study and observation of ice conditions, and for ice patrol.
